Hi Dirk,

for solving your PC problems take this freeware :

you can choose between English and German version there is no Dutch, sorry. You get an update every day, so it is always up to date and it is easy to use.
I use it together with Norton, never ever had problems....

greetings from paradisen in Norway

Yep. Great comment. Like the cool manner inwhich this man shows us that Tati is not from or in Kazan. Yes, Skeet, she's not there! (I have the Santanaversion).
Thanks for the advices on my pc-problem (Norway too). Seems I have it working again, but your advices shall be usefull for the future.

Now for Tatiana. I sent my letter three times, after about ten letters (like the one above) from her side; last one this morning. Maybe something went wrong due to my pc-problem. Maybe they found out about my game. I'll try again. It would be a pity if this story dies before it reaches its smashing end. Dirk

She's not here either!

sasha from Russia...da, very interesting and informative post. I've also been to Kazan, not a bad city, at least compared to other provincial towns around there. the Volga is amazing.

definitely several organized groups, but most operate out of Yoshktar Ola, sometimes out of Cheboksary. The place has a reputation, cheap accessible internet provider (volga telekom), a bit of a shithole with no work and very low wages. Plus even the Russian police have busted at least one scam ring there. The professionals are using proxys more and more, but there's still enough amateurs around for the Volgatelekom connection to show up again and again.

Reading the pictures is a good idea, but even the girl matters. There's a certain grainy texture in scam photos, probably from being copied so much. Plus my Russian girlfriend doesn't have any Versace, doesn't believe in designer labels even fake ones, which they always are. So not all real girls are posers. And if you rent a flat in Russia, it's nearly always a granny flat, brown wallpaper, dingy, old sofa.

As regards Yekaterinburg, there's a couple of scams there as well, but not the regular visa/tickets scams. I came across a suspect 'marriage agency', sets you up with women who are only interested in milking you for cash, as indeed is the 'marriage agency' itself. There are similar ones in Ukraine. But Yekaterinburg is a bit of a boom city so there are plenty of jobs and less reason to scam.

In fact, that's the key really, medium size provincial town, high unemployment, low wages = scammers. For some reason Yoshktar Ola has a culture of scamming.

Sent my letter to Tatiana four times now. She doesn't answer! Guess they figured it out by now. It's a pity!

Sasha sent me a letter, containing more evidence that Tati lied about her adress. This might interest you:

Dear Dirk,
The street Tati gave as address, street prospectus of the Victory isn't a street but Prospect (common word for wide lane) and in Russian is 'Prospekt Pobedi'.
If you have Google Earth, go to Kazan. Left from old airport (in the center), now hippodrome, is that Prospekt (there is even photo). There are no houses / flats but far from Prospekt huge buildings, most probably offices or so. If you incline the image on Google Earth. it's perfectly visible.
I am stoping for a while. I am leaving for holidays.
I wrote correct address and asked her to confirm. No answer. Probably Mrs. Khabrieva and my knowledge of Kazan scared them.

See you, read you;

She really isn't there!

PS I've been told that you can find a fake-passport of this young lady somewhere on this site.

Since 2 days now she isn't answering me neither. Of coarse also these scammers can copy, paste and google their own sugarsweet lyrics and find this very conversation. Just like I did before. Well, I'm happy getting acquaintance in this village here. Very cosy.

My blues for Tatihiheehehehe

I think of Tatihehehehe
could be homeward bouhound
I think of all my lonely confusions
I I could see her agaihaihaiahaiain

For the 'passport' chck Drod's 'Various Dating Scammers' thread He has taken ALOT of time and effort with it and it's up to about 117 pages of fake passports and documents! He has over 500 all together I beleive! It's already worked for me in a search.

Gee Dirk,Did I put a music bug in your head? lol I just thought of another one that's sort of fitting...'Build Me Up Buttercup' By The Foundations/1969

To you I'm a toy
But I could be the boy
You adore
If you'd just let me know
Although you're untrue
I'm attracted to you
All the more

She's not there...

{still like this one better}lol
